Psychotherapist Counsellor Supervisor

Because Your Mind Matters

I am able to conduct therapy remotely, either online or by phone depending on your wishes. The support is here for you.

Individual Work

Often deciding to invest in yourself is the hardest part, so getting this far indicates you’re ready to do that

Couples Work

If you and your partner are experiencing difficulty in communicating, I can provide the space and opportunity to explore what’s happening

Supervision

I have a diploma in clinical supervision with an intersectional lens. I work with psychotherapists, counsellors and trainees from a variety of modalities.

Support during challenging times

As we face uncertain times and situations we could never have planned for, we sometimes find that we need additional help to process our thoughts; a space to take into account the rapidly changing environment we’re all experiencing.

Who Am I?

I am a UKCP and BACP registered psychotherapist specialising in TA. My background is in the performing arts and I bring my experience in both worlds to the work.

Who are my clients?

I have worked effectively and potently with clients from all walks of life with a variety of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, stress and addiction. If you don’t see your issue here, that doesn’t mean we can’t work together. We can talk about the best course of action for you.

What's the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

The simplest explanation is that counselling works with what you are already aware of (the cognitive) and psychotherapy works with the unconsious process, or what you’re not yet aware of.

What is TA?

Transactional Analysis brings together some of the most effective ideas in counselling and psychotherapy (analytic, cognitive behavioural, social, phenomenological) into a powerful body of theory and practice. It holds the humanistic values, which believe that we have a natural aspiration to live in harmony with ourselves and others.

What is the process like?

Contact me by email or phone to discuss if counselling is appropriate for you and we’ll arrange an initial assessment to explore your issues. It’s important that you feel safe working with me and that we have clarity around confidentiality.

We’ll discuss what your aims are and agree on a contract that shows our joint commitment.

Throughout our work together we maintain an open dialogue so if any new issues arise we are free to negotiate a revised contract.

What happens next is for us to work through, in a space which is non-judgmental and reflective.

Our sessions can take place in person, over the phone or using video chat (Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, etc).

Practice information

My practice is home-based and situated just outside the village of Great Missenden. It is private and has off-road parking in front of the house.

It is within easy reach of Amersham, Chesham, High Wycombe and the Chalfonts. Trains take 45 minutes from London Marylebone to Great Missenden.

I maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional practice and adhere to both the UKCP and the BACP codes of good practice in psychotherapy and counselling.

I have regular supervision as part of upholding this good practice.
